Do It! presents: Stopmakingme Friday 7th Jan @ Dalson Superstore

That’s right Party people we’re Back!!

After a month of festive mischief we kick-start our new monthly residency at the

Dalston Superstore Jan 7th.

In 2011 we’ll be upping the Madness and providing you with a whole host of Killer DJ’s and producers you wouldn’t normally expect to see gracing the Decks out or favorite East London Hotspot.

For the 1st party of the year we’re really excited to welcome rising star Stopmakingme down to the rave-bassment.

Stopmakingme is well known for his residency at London institution Fabric as well as regular appearances at nights such as Bugged Out and Durrr. Now his star is set to rise further as Erol Alkan has hand picked him to be the resident DJ for his Phantasy Sound label, hosting their radio show and helming their new club night.

Dan’s love for Trash, Optimo, Soulwax and older references like The Paradise Garage all come through in his DJ sets where electro and techno sit alongside updated post-punk, huge disco, mutant new wave and perfect pop choruses whilst no momentum - or any dancefloor - is lost.

He also co-runs the hugely successful Kill Em All club night with the Filthy Dukes, championing new music made by live bands as much as electronic artists. It’s a place where “an amazingly exciting new live act could blow the mind of a techno kid whilst an indie band in the corner think of how quickly they could sell their guitars and buy samplers when dancing to Boy 8-Bit.” In the odd spare moment, Dan also writes a regular feature for Dummy Magazine where he interviews others within his scene (as well as a few heroes.)

As ever residents We’re Not Cool & Not shy will be providing you with the most upfront music they can get their hands on..

The upstairs bar is hosted by:

PS… Lick My Bass feat. Liz Bisoux & Cathal

Entry is free all night long.

See U at the Rave

War of the monsters part II by UNIT 9

Do It! presents: Unit 9, Jam Hot, Jo & Becks, La-La Leanne, Cash N Hand Friday 19th Nov @ The Dalston Superstore

Doin it and doin it and doin it well (LL Cool J)

That’s right party people we’re back.

After our killer party with Idiotproof in September we’re once again on a mission to cause more madness on the dance floor.

Like a baby on a hunt for milk, we’ll be crawling back through the Superstores front door and rolling out the fire exit after another mental night of boozed-fluid-bass-sillyness. (Try saying that after a few shots)

This time your faithful Bass dealers We’re Not Cool! and Not Shy will be joined in the Rave-Bassment by Unit 9 and Hot Jam

------------------------------------------

Unit 9:

Unit 9 are a London based DJ and production outfit made up of:

Sam Barlow and Jon Bell.

After seeing them smash the hell out of the Kane FM tent at this years Wave Form Festival we know we had to get this guys down to the

Rave-Basment.

Their music is so filthy that you may find yourself later at Home trying to bleach yourself clean while re-thinking your whole instances on this planet.

We cannot be responsible for any wired behavior that may take place once you’ve left the party…

You’ve been warned.

------------------------------------------

Jam Hot:

We posted a mix on our Blog a few months back from this young Don.

2010 has seen him smash up Ministry of Sound at Richie Hawtin MINUS party and play at number of underground party’s both in London and Amsterdam.

We have a feeling a major label is gonna be tapping him up for his studio wizardry very soon.

------------------------------------------

If this wasn’t enough we’re going Girl Crazy in upstairs Bar.

Yeah that’s right no lads are aloud anywhere near the decks as we welcome an All-Girl line up to Do It’s party room:

Jo & Becks (Twat Boutique / Booby Hatch)

La-La Leanne

Cash N Hand (Berlin / Finland)

------------------------------------------

Remember we kick off the party at 8pm and it’s free all night long.

See you on the dance Floor.

BIG LOVE

Do It! presents: Idiotproof Friday Oct 8th @ The Dalston Superstore

After the success of our “Mid Summer Work Out” back in August, Do It! returns to the Dalston Superstore for more extreme sports action.

Here at Do It! we’re super excited to welcome Made To Play’s very own Idiotproof down to the rave basement for some killer Boompty House and Epic Jacked up Beats.

---------------------------------------------

Idiotproof:

Born of a love all things weird, wired and wonderful, Idiotproof is the three headed, freakshow baby, born of many long nights of chemical abandonment.

A lover of heavy beats, twisting basslines and mutilated soft toys, this freak of nature will jack you on the dancefloor as well as, possibly, bite your leg off.

You have been warned.

---------------------------------------------

As ever, our very own party starters We’re Not Cool! and Not Shy will be keeping you dancing way passed the witching hour.
