Jay Shepheard launched the Retrofit imprint back in late Feb 2010 - five releases later on March the fourth this year we'll celebrate its first birthday in partnership with hot London parties Do It! and Scandal at East London's Dalston Superstore.
In the basement alongside Jay Shepheard (playing a one-off oldschool acid house vinyl set) will be Retrofit regular Matthew Burton as well as Do It! and Scandal residents We're Not Cool and Greg Brockmann. Upstairs in the bar disco veteran Simon Lee from the legendary Faze Action will be joined by Trailer Trash's Ian Robinson, Namedrop from DJ History and Retrofit promo queen and all round party girl Marysia.
Since the launch Retrofit has gone from strength to strength with reviews and features appearing on Resident Advisor, Dazed Digital, De:Bug, Juno Plus, DJ Mag, Pulse Radio and DJ History....and was recently picked as label to watch in 2011 on Beatportal.
As well as the press top Djs have also been in on the action, the first 5 releases heavily supported by the likes of Seth Troxler, Prins Thomas, Ooft, The Revenge, Trevor Jackson, Tornado Wallace, Catz N Dogz, Ben Watt, Pete Herbert, Jacques Renault, Social Disco Club and a ton of others....
Expect a blend of the finest in modern and classic electronic music across the board and party vibe to match, see you there!
